To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This little book (272pgs. without accounting the endnotes) was a bit different from what I expected. I thought would be something focused on the psychological perspective (Human Emotions). But no, its not presented in that perspective. Instead, we are presented with little stories/facts related to the word/emotion in a humorous way, sometimes relating them to historic characters. True stories. Personally I enjoy it even if it's different from what I expected (the psychological perspective. It didn't cause me any "Boredom or Apathy" but a little Delight each time I randomly flip or jump through the pages. But if you essentially looking for a book of psychological tone this is not the one.
The explanations and descriptions of many emotions are clear and interesting. There is a line of reasoning that being able to recognise and name emotions one experiences helps them to be processed mentally in the most beneficial way. Well worth a reference book to be dipped into as appropriate.
