I have read tons of books on Indo-Pak relations and I have to say this book ranks on the top with the very best. Facts are facts but the author has written a story, which after blending with the facts makes this book simply too good to put down. If you are frequent reader of India-Pakistan relations, you won’t find anything extraordinary. Yet, the subtlety of mixing diplomacy with raw emotions makes this book a wonderful read.
A must read book on India and Pakistan, the first few chapters contain more information which is otherwise hard to find in regular books. After reading the book I understood that India never played it's cards properly where as Pakistan has punched way above it's weight, this book reflects the state of mind of the people who occupy the highest positions in the government. After reading this I strongly believe that our approach towards foreign policy must shift towards hard realism, in sense to make the people of India the ultimate beneficiary rather than the lasting legacy of the leaders. I humbly recommend this book for any one interested in politics, geopolitics, statecraft and societal studies. I strongly appreciate the efforts of writer in bringing such a book with lot of insights...
Three cheers to Mr. Dogra ! Although a lot of well researched books are written on Indo Pak conflicts but still there are new revelations and very well written book Mr. Dogra deserves kudos for his hard work !
Very lucid and readable . Words flow events unfold , history and events recounted in its best form . Some first hand experience of the author and several well researched documents unfolds history . The author brings out the delicate balance between nations who have fought at least three wars and are armed with nuclear weapons clearly aimed at each other. Shudder to think , as does the author if one of them presses the button on the warheads .
