I thought I will enjoy reading a fantasy novel for pre teens, this was too complicated and weird. I guess there is a great opportunity to learn about wasps and other biological facts round them, but I just could not see the point of the book. I was not sure if the parents were also OCD.
i was really disappointed in this book. i ordered it hoping to share it with students b/c I thought it might give a window of understanding into children with exceptionalities. I love Jon Klassen, was not as familiar with the author, and I loved the artistic placement of illustrations, white space, and the unique book cover. Was the nest full of helpful angels or harmful wasps? Was the baby okay or in great danger? Most of all, the protagonist seemed tortured and the book actually held little hope. I will not share with children for this reason/
