Bel libro spirituale , lei una scrittrice ma l approccio all' arte attraverso la preghiera, rappresenta quello che faccio prima di dipingere..un Po troppo descrittiva del suo essere scrittrice....mi ha ispirato
4+++ out of five. Very thought provoking and insightful. An easy and entertaining read. I recommend that the reader should go through it at least twice to get the most from it. First time, read it straight through to get the "feel" of what she's saying. Second time, study it, make notes, meditate on what she says.
I'm a huge fan of L'Engle, and although I'm still - somewhat - getting started, it's obvious that this book is a compilation of thoughts, and pulling of ideas from here and there. But it's still so, so good, and phenomenal for those who find themselves in the realm of faith and the arts.
While this book was written from the viewpoint of the author as an artist, I am able to apply it as well to the fine arts. It is encouraging to read M. L'Engle's insights into why we should express our artistic natures, as an expression of praise to our Lord.
