To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I only give 3 stars because since it says for kids, I assumed beginners. It didn’t show any pictures of the inside, so I bought it for my 8 year old niece with no experience, and it is waaaaaaay to advanced for her. I wish it would recommend an age or experience level.
Picked this book up to entertain my granddaughter and to get her mom to play along too (she had not played since high school ) with a little refresher she was off and running with a little difficulty on D and above. Had a lot of fun tootling around.
What I wanted: a book with every American kid song I could thing of-- Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy Spider, etc. with lyrics and the music in trumpet-appropriate ranges. What it is: Sort of a method book and a collection of Finale-entered songs, a fee traditional, and many that may be regionally American, but I suspect Mexican-- which is cool, but not my culture and therefore not what my kid knows, and won't even know because I'd have to separately look up lyrics.
I guess what I want is a fake (or Real) book of kids' songs, and this certainly isn't it. I'm not sure I'll keep it since the few that are in there I can figure out on my own. I envisioned taking toddler requests at my daughter's daycare and flipping through to get the melody of any song they could think of. Sadly, this will not be happening.
