Some nice tips
Reviewed in India on 14 August 2018
This is an extremely wordy book and there is a lot of info on who did studies on whom.
But once you decide to wade through that and cut to the chase, there are some useful insights that give a knowledge of human interactions in social situations.
Re-reading them brings the message home better, and trying them out is the best way to test the authenticity.
Even considering approaching another person with the idea of decoding them itself puts one in a pro-people mood and that gives one a high.
My two favourite takeaways from this book are:
1. You can speed-read the person in front of you, by using body and face language cues.
2. Do not try to change them. If they are very different from you, see if you can optimise or compromise.
