Simha International by Sundari Venkataraman is the first book in the Bansal Legacy romance novella series set in the backdrop of luxury hotels. I have read quite a few of the author's works now and have to appreciate and like her work. Her books are always captives, wholesome, and with a dash of erotica to keep it lively.
The story revolves around our main protagonist Rohit, the CEO of Simha International, and Tasha Sawant, a duty manager at Simha International.
The language is pretty lucid and fast-paced narration and the rollercoaster of emotions keeps you engaged throughout the book. The details of the scenery are descriptive and give a vivid imagination of the setting. I loved both the main characters and how their journey unfold although would have loved it if the backstory were better placed.
Many other characters in the story felt redundant sometimes because of the lack of storyline of them. Although the author tried to bring the hotel in focus with the thief story, it wasn't fitting well with the storyline and felt forced sometimes. I would love it if the author start to stop adding LGBTQ characters as a token part. Give them a backstory and add it to the story, if they are impacting the plotline.
I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. It was a nice fluff read and provided with some beautiful moments and banters between Rohit and Tasha. The story also had heartbreak, gaslighting, career, love, and the many nuisances of family drama written well. The erotic scenes between the main characters were written well and didn't overshadow the story too. Overall a nice romantic read.
