To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The story didn't flow quite as well as the other books in the series but the children (7years and 4 years) are enjoying it. The biggest problem with this and the previous one is that they are very poorly put together. The pages begin to fall out at the first reading and continue to do so rapidly on subsequent readings - both books are now completely taped together, every single page. Disappointing.
My seven year old son loves this series, so I bought several of them for his birthday. Today Press Start Super Rabbit Boy Blasts Off! came in the mail. My middle son read it, then my older boy read it. By time my youngest went to read it, the binding had come off the book. The other books in the series have the same problem. After one reading of this Press Start Robo-Rabbit Boy, Go!, the binding came loose and the pages fell out. I ordered another one, and the same thing happened. Obviously, since this seems to be a problem with all the books, this isn't a one time fluke. Cute stories, bad binding.
Story starts with a letter from King Viking, the “Bad Guy”, who states he is done causing mayhem and going to space. Sure enough new terror is caused by King Viking and his evil villains in space. The only way to stop him is to venture to space and undertake the evil villains one by one. Side story of kids asking their parents the notorious question... “Are we there yet?” Fun read in the car or just because. I hope my review was helpful... please see pictures!
*Note: like others reviews have stated, binding could have been better. Only book in our library that binding has fallen apart on. Still readable so didn’t deduct any stars.
My son struggled with reading. He just didn't like it. He ran across this book at a book fair at his school. He wanted it because it reminded him of a video game. He read the first chapter and was hooked. He asked me to get him the rest of the book series. I happily purchased it because he, for the first time, wanted to read. So I got the entire set. We're waiting for the 7th book to be released 5/2019. I highly recommend it. Branch books are great.
My 8 year old son isn't a huge fan of chapter books so finding a series he will read is really difficult. Thank goodness we stumbled across this series! We got the first one through a Scholastic newsletter and he enjoyed it so much we had to go find the rest of the books at the library. He asked for the latest one for his birthday and read it twice the day it arrived. Definitely a great series!
My son devours books daily, but his BFF is a very reluctant reader. We bought him this series and his mom said it has turned a new page for him (literally). He read the entire series in one sitting and immediately asked for the unreleased sequels :)
