After I put down the book, I just sat trying to reel it all in. The book left me speechless and definitely feeling hollow knowing the series has ended. This book is Victoria Aveyard's best out of the series and she has given a fitting end to each character.
I loved how she tried to weave different POV's in the book which made the book an even further interesting read. I loved Evangeline's POV, and I mention it because I didn't particularly like it in the earlier book. I could live without Iris' POV, because personally I felt it deviated from the story but the other characters made up for it.
I have to appreciate how the author brought out different shades of each character and beautifully developed certain love interests. I would have loved if Mare's family would have gotten more words than the occasional visit particularly Gisa who could have been used and developed beautifully.
Of course my favorite character has to be Maven (I've loved him since book 1) and I craved for his part in the story and yes people we do have the confrontation between our three main characters which had me at edge the entire time.
This book is a fitting culmination to a wonderfully written story and the ending just makes you crave for more. I hope the author does plan to write novellas for this series because the book has risen like the dawn.
