To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
A third to halfway through the book, most of the the active principal actors, people and new creatures, become so microscopic they are blind and deaf and dumb and they have to communicate with thought waves "called kything" and from then on the story is talking about imaginary problems with imaginary creatures and it's hurry up and slow down! and where is he or she? and oh no! I can't see you! no no! I can't hear you! No you must kythe! I gave up the reading. I think Timothy Leary had a little hand in this.. With a little too much Jim Beam with is LSD MIND EXPANDING HALLUCINOGENS! LOL!!
My daughter previously read the book A Wrinkle in Time and I couldn't wait to purchase this one to read next. However, she struggled to be interested in this one to the point I finally gave her permission to quit reading it. She zipped right through the first one and loved it so I was very disappointed that her excitement was killed with A Wind In The Door. She told me it just wasn't as good as the first one and not to buy anymore in the series. She described the first one as facinating, super cool, and exciting. This one was uneventful, boring, and lame in her words. For what it's worth, we have found The Door Within Trilogy by Wayne Thomas Batson to be awesome books! They are longer but such a good read for a young reader.
The metadata on this file is garbled so that the author's name is sorted by first name rather than last, causing mis-alphabetization on the Kindle home screen on an author sort. When I attempted to correct this error with mobi2mobi, I then discovered that this file is .AZW1 (the "dreaded topaz" format). Very unprofessional presentation by a major publisher.
