CA Ram Pavan Kumar
4.0 out of 5 starsThis book deliver insights into how we think and make decisions
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 26 January 2023
This book "Blink" explores the concept of "thin-slicing," or the ability to make quick and accurate judgments based on limited information.
The author employed an "engaging" writing style as a fiction writer typically does. The author, Gladwell's research, is extensive, and he does an excellent job of weaving together different stories and examples to illustrate his points.

The author made complex concepts accessible. This book generates thought-provoking insights into the human mind and decision-making. It is a must-read for anyone interested in psychology, decision-making, and human behavior.

The author uses western stories/incidents to elaborate his agenda...this book is useless for you if you are over 20. People can say that this is a well researched book but if you will read it then you will come to know that the author has not even thought of putting a word/story about relevant incidents that may have occured in other parts of the world. At the end you will reach the point where you started.

Undoubtedly the content of the book is extravagant but the quality it was shipped was very average or below remarkable I would say. Papers are coming out while I am reading the book.
Had expected a better quality.

2.0 out of 5 stars NOPE. BUY THINKING FAST AND SLOW INSTEAD

If you have read Thinking fast and slow then you would be having a good time of laughing at this book. Lacks statistics. Author tries to prove his point at any cost. Surely Malcolm gladwell had blinders while writing this book. Go and read Thinking fast and slow instead

2.0 out of 5 stars Quality of paperback terrible

The book is an entertaining read. However, the one on sale at the moment is of a very poor quality. It is supposedly by Penguin. It also says Printed for India Today. It is hard to tell if it is a genuine book or a pirated one.
It was meant to be given as a gift. However, the quality was just too poor.
