Tried it, and at first thought wow brilliant. Nap time is works ... bed time it does not. My two year tells me no and closes the book. I don’t think she likes it at all. So frustrating - just my honest opinion if you have a strong willed child I don’t think it’s worth the money. She knows what she likes! Or doesn’t in this case.
Tried with my two year old. He was fairly interested in the pictures at the start but the story was so full it made him angry not relaxed. If I try and read it he throws it away! Also a fundamental issue that you need the lights on to read it. Will try an audio story maybe
Didn't work for us unfortunately. I suppose it works for others but the wording is so uninteresting my kid was wriggling about the whole way through. Tried it a couple of times. Maybe if it was more interesting and longer..
I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately it is an extremely long book and my son has no interest in listening to it. We barely get through the first page. He can with other books tho. He loves the elephant pics in it, just not the storyline. He is also 3 so maybe just too young right now. Overall I feel like eventually anyone would fall asleep after reading a book that long lol. For a child,it’s not my #1 pick.
This is not really a story, because nothing happens other than everything and everyone being sleepy and wanting to fall asleep. As an adult I find thist "story" quite annoying and my daughter isn't a huge fan either. Sorry.
Bought based on reviews of kids just falling asleep within pages, having no luck so far. I read the instructions (yes there is one page of instructions to the reader on how to read the book) but I find it too confusing when you emphasize a word now and then that doesn't seem to warrant emphasis. My 2yo daughter could care less and it doesn't make her tired at all. She loves book time and has a very large vocabulary for her age compared to most kids but perhaps she is just too young. Maybe we will try again in a year or twoand mom will need to watch a video on how to read it. She is however into (and has actually fallen asleep to) the Dr.Seuss Sleep Book. Perhaps that is better for younger children.
