I was totally not ready for this bubble of cuteness when I started what if it's us. Ben and Arthur's relationship was not perfect like all relationship they had lots of fights. But they always bounced back and did a do over. This book brought out the hopeless romantic girl in me. The thing I loved in the book is all those raw emotions. All the characters in the book make mistakes but they don't justify their mistakes they accept it and make it right. The friendships was so heart touching. This book had a lot of references about Harry Potter.

This book is written in dual POV and I loved both of them. The story is like a modern day fairy tale. Even though the story is all cute and goody important stuff like homophobia , racism and panic attacks are discussed. I loved Arthur. The moment I saw that one of the main characters name is Arthur I literally squealed with joy. ( Because he is the namesake of Arthur from house on the cerulean sea who is one of my favourite fictional characters). At one point I kind of hated Ben due to something he did. But later Ben redeemed himself with a grand gesture. So all forgiven. I loved all characters in this book especially Dylan ( Ben's bestfriend) I have never read such a cute rom com.

3.0 out of 5 starsCute Read

Pros:
The story was light-hearted and really cute. You grow to like both the characters and witness the growth of many others as well. One thing this story made me realise is that one can't ever bet on the future, so just cherish and live your present.

Cons:
Even after finishing the novel, one doesn't get this feeling of "gratification" or it being a "wholesome read." Somewhere it didn't really match the standards of Becky's other works.

But nonetheless if the plot allures you , then go for it!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Messy, imperfect, realistic and just gorgeous.

I have to say this, this book is just imperfectly perfect! I mean the way all the characters are portrayed is just amazing. But what I loved the most about this book was that ben and authur were messy but they did not give up on eachother. This was not some boy meets boy and falls in love and everything is glitter and sparkles, this was two people who genuinely care for eachother trying to give their everything to make things work, which Is what most relationships look like, this book was realistic and i absolutely loved it. Tho it felt like things were moving fast but that was the whole point, they did not have time. Ending was just like it was taken out of the novels but very sweet too. The best thing tho was the way both the main characters were written. I enjoyed reading it a lot!

The book has given unconditionally strong and refined visuals about the incidents happening through out the story of these two young men.
It's an adorable one to keep.

I loved this book a lot. It was soothing, it showed the love as it is, no adulteration. The last chapters although made me a bit skeptical. But I had my share of excitement and joy and pain all through it. Worth a read.

A matured and thoughtful story about two boys. It felt like that somehow first the title was decided and then the thought that how we're gonna revolve the story around this title. But anyhow, the thing is, I felt connected which was comfortable enough to make me read all of it in a single night.

It was not a epic read, or I wasn't crying too much or smiling too much...but sometimes it's just about enjoying a book. And I totally enjoyed the story, the characters. I could read it again and again, anywhere without getting bored. I could read about Ben and Arthur again in a new story.

Ohmigod. Ohkay. So first of all I was really hesitant getting to this book cause everyone said it was a little too messed up and I was getting a lot of mixed reviews. But then I read it. And ABSOLUTELY ADORED IT. God first off their relationship did have a lot of downs. More than ups. But by then I had grown to adore the characters. So I understand the positions they were in. And I loveeeed the various relationships in this book. I think Becky and Adam should write together more often and release books that might be better as this was their first novel together. Probably why it was slightly choppy. But abso-frikin-lutely amaaaaazinng

It's a great book. Love the characters.

It will make you believe that love is somewhere round the corner. You just need to take some chances and believe that the universe is calling the shots.
