I got this for my 4 yr old neice who was first excited to see the xylophone (she actually knew it was a xylophone, kids these days!) And then she started playing with it and said "it was wrong". Obviously I feel what she said, I think she meant it about the sounds and the range. But otherwise it is perfect for kids, makes sounds when you bang on it as a xylophone should do. More colour than a rainbow and sturdy build, so I would give it 4 stars.
Got this for my 1 year old child. He keeps biting it and it got broken in just one day I received it. It is highly risk for babies of they bite the stock as there is a chance that it could go inside their mouth
I brought this product for my little one. He absolutely loves it ... it has lovely colours and looks quite sturdy..: make sure you watch your baby at all times while using it as it comes with sticks... one end of the stick has a round ball but the other end should probably have smoother finish with a softer material as this product is designed for kids. Overall good product
Screws to hold the plates are not drilled in wooden frame but on a gelco stripe pasted over the wooden frame..so not too sturdy, but my daughter (2.5 yrs) has thrown it over the bed atleast 10 times and still plates are secured to the frame..good thing is the hammer, difficult for the child to swallow or detach the knob from the stick...I have tried to remove the ball attached ro the hammer but is difficult for a child....still keep an eye on child while using this instrument....
I could have given 5 stars if it had sounded properly, there are 8 jingles, and each bell sound different as per size, some of them are good and accurate, but many are inaccurate, they should sound proper like SA, RE, GA, MA, PA, DA, NI, SA... 4 of them are almost accurate, others (BESURAAA)
My little one enjoys her time with the Xylophone. Seeing the stick she thinks its lollipop. More than tapping with it she is busily trying to chew it. But once in a while she plays some random tune on the Xylophone. I like the cute little Xylophone. A good gift for kids above 1.
