Blurb: The blurb of the book is depicting the storyline closely; so I am considering it perfect.
Cover: The front cover of the book is not only catching but it is aptly justifying the significance of the story.
Title: The title of the book is simple yet good enough to draw attention I can say.
Language & narration: Language of the book is lucid & simple enough to comprehend and the finely touching way of narrating the events in two different segments from1st person narrative, maintaining a smooth balance between the core emotions is the key point of the book.
Plot: The plot of the book crafted thoughtfully keeping the aspect of a Love series in mind. I’d like to say that, in extremely touching way, the author developed this third book in this series highly significant in the aspect of emotions.
Setting: Setting of this story is in Mumbai & Goa.
Characterization: The characters of the story are portrayed clearly and every character is finely justified to their respective roles throughout the book. I was actually feeling the inside heart of the characters regardless of any way they were interacting. Name of some characters mentioned in the book are- Shelly, Vir, Michael aka Mike Pinto, Andrew, Suresh, Pedro (a dog), David Pinto, Anne Pinto, Dhruv.
Theme: Emotional, Love, Inspirational, Family.
Content & My Verdict: This book is the 3nd book of the anthology named “It’s all about Love” series by the author Sourabh Mukherjee. I am actually moved by this emotional story deeply, and my expectations from the author about further remaining books in this series is getting higher with each passing week. Still 4 to go…
This story is divided into the lives of 2 persons; David Pinto & Mike. Let’s get into the story-
Mike was working in Mumbai in a company and with his skillful services and polished hard work, he managed to seek the attention of his boss Vir comparatively others and that’s why he was about to get the chance to achieve the ambition he was long aiming for; that was to get the position of Strategy Consultant at the San Francisco Branch of Mobitech Company in United States. It will be a life changing milestone for anyone who achieves it in the aspect of career. Mike got to know from Vir that this golden opportunity will be at his doorstep the tomorrow, all he needed was to grab that. But…Mike refused this opportunity politely. Yes; he refused to take this chance because he must be present at Goa the very next day, because tomorrow is a special day…..
What was the reason that made Mike even did not think twice over his decision of refusing this ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity? What could be more important in his priority than boosting up his career-graph in this much massive level? What was the special day all about and what was so ‘special’ about that? To know these answers, grab this book now and dive in.
Author Sourabh Mukherjee has touchingly penned down this heart melting story of family love and core hearted emotions. I was in tears after going through some particular phases in the story and it was that much heart piercing. Love has not any particular shape or limit bindings. The ultimate thing we need to decide is what our priority is. Sometimes, life makes us face such situations, where we need to ask our heart instead of mind, that what our heart wants; life may offer us many chances if we stay loyal to our heart’s decisions and never hesitate to sacrifice for our loved ones. Because love (be it for family or be it for anyone, nothing in particular) demands sacrifices and so does life. We have to choose our priorities according to our heart. The emotional bonding while in family, the helplessness, the pain, the innocence, the unfortunate destiny and the deep sheer screaming heart, and the heart wrenching gesture of love and respect- all these are being evidently and significantly portrayed in each line of the story. I cried, but still love the way it ended. It was definitely an emotional roller coaster ride for me and I salute Mike for his decision. Well…it was ‘a special day’ and this is ‘a special story’ indeed. I would surely be looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
Recommendation: I would like to recommend this book to every avid reader because I believe that this story has the potential to reach the deepest core of the reader’s heart indeed. Thank you.
