Excellent summary of Indian lore; definitive explanation of Sabarimala issue
Reviewed in India on 31 October 2019
The first half or so of the book summarizes Indian lore, including the Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata (including Gita) and brief vignettes of the lives of Indian saints. A recurring theme in this mythology-history is the advanced powers of realized beings, that continue to defy existing scientific knowledge.
Building on this foundation, the remainder of the book is dedicated to the rationale behind disallowing women of menstruating age in the presence of individuals who have attained such extraordinary abilities, and at various divine sites including Sabarimala Temple.
The author points out that unlocking the Kundalini can give a person unusual abilities and powers, and assist in the path to realization. However it generally requires long and diligent yogic practice.
He outlines his own experiences with unlocking Kundalini, which allowed him a direct cognition of the vibes emanating from menstruating women.
