How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Very straight forward writing. Does not mince words nor does psycho-babbling. Clear in presentation. Useful book to read your own horoscope and know yourself.

As a Vedic student of Jyotish, Braha's text has been an invaluable bridge to Western Astrology for me, emphasizing the impressive values of tropical perspective in ways that I had, candidly, dismissed. His accuracy in defining Planetary Aspects is uncanny -- meaning that I can literally measure a chart against his text here to uncover both psychological traits and the conflicts spinning them. This is NOT an easy feat to accomplish in a finicky science that is far too easily capsized by a "This always means that" approach.

Why and how Braha's text strives admirably for "Classic" is a testament to his decades in the trenches as a pioneer. The deft psychological insight is not to be missed for serious students. I challenge any determined, self-scrutinizing individual not to recognize large portions of their interior makeup simply by matching their aspects to these impressive entries here.

The book falls for short for me ONLY in not presenting Braha's Western perspective on the individual Planets at the onset. As impressive and insightful this text is, I think the star-gazing community could only benefit further from his definitions of the luminous bodies in the work. But it's a petty gripe given the staggering wealth that the text provides.

In 3 words: Do not miss.

I enjoyed this book as I found the aspects very accurately described. The text was easy to understand and not too short but not too long either. The introduction was very well-written and I loved the inclusion of a poem by a Himalayan saint towards the end of the introduction!

I bought this book a few years ago and have referred to it many times (I have been an enthusiastic student/hobbyist of astrology since mid-2006). This book is a great reference when you are trying to understand the deeper nuances of some of the aspects in your natal chart, whether they are conjuncts, trines, squares or oppositions. Very thankful to the author for sharing his knowledge with the rest of us :)

Very compelling way of describing traits coexisting with aspects between planets using Western Astrology. Includes an in-depth look at Indian Astrolgoy and how to do it.
