Another very good read in a winning formula. Multiple murders in an art gallery. Another murder mystery in which a disproportionate number of suspects turn out be gay. I enjoyed it on the whole but was seriously annoyed when I guessed the next victim but the detective team did not. More mental handwringing by the chief detective moaning "I should have known". And me yelling, "Yes, you should have!" . The cracks in the formula are beginning to show. A bit disappointing. But I will read the whole series.
Although I have grown to like and admire Markham and his team, and certainly enjoyed the overall detection and police-work in this book, there seemed a number of characters whose roles began to confuse me. That aside, the main plot was engaging and very sinister, with periods of high tension awaiting the body-count to rise.
