Not a Journey but a Risk
Reviewed in India on 9 December 2019
This is my first book reading in kindle. I am glad I started with the right one.
The book is about a travel from Paris to Le Havre by a group of people who were in Paris on a business trip. The author happens to be one in the team. The usual journey takes roughly two hours. But for this team, it took longer. The story narrates their entire trip.
The author has exceptional memory. His ability to cover minute details are enviable. The flow of the story is flawless. I find no edges and corners in the naratory.
The book could serve as a planing book for travel. It touches sever aspects of travel plan.
The female member in the team brought more curiosity to the reading. But when it comes to talk about her, author is shy. Stingy. More could have been said.
The political and social conscious of the author well manifested in the writing.
The entire trip was eventful right from the start. Most unthinkable events happened all along which brought suspense to the story. Indeed it wad not jut a 'Journey' but a 'Risk'. The title of the book is aptly named
It is a quality writing. Author's command over laungage is commendable. One will have a good time of reading.
