Even though I have made some nice meals from this book, the proof readers didn't do a good job as there are so many mistakes in the book. Like cheesy chicken with broccoli casserole that doesn't have broccoli in it, plus you can't buy condensed cheddar cheese soup in this country, well not that I know of. Beef stroganoff that states in the side margins that you use the air crisp option, which in fact you don't. Just be aware when making the recipes you use your common sense. I just wish they would make a recipe book aimed at the UK market and not the US as the American measurements are also a pain as well as them having different names for ingredients. Who knew that scallions were spring onions.
As a UK resident, this book is a little frustrating. Many of the ingredients are not available in the UK. Some don't have as good a substitute, which has made some meals very disappointing. This is not something that is apparent until you start trying to use the book. I did not see anywhere suggesting these were US recipes with US ingredients. As well as that, the measurements are all US. Making getting accurate UK measurements very difficult too. All in all, quite frustrating when trying to use the book. I am now having to spend more money to try to find something suitable for UK ingredients and measurements.
I bought this in the hopes of getting more from my ninja foodie. What a mistake!!! It is geared to the American market using prepackaged mixes and ingredients in most recipes without a “make from scratch alternative” IE:- to make any cake you need cake mix, for gluten intolerant people this is no good at all. Not only that he does not give a basic cooking guide for baking or roasting.
Every kitchens newly must have. It does need one of the many cookbooks additionally purchased though. A bit daunting when you first receive it but once you put in the practice you will be rewarded...great invention!
Brilliant book with lots of info as well as recepies. Gives you measurement, weight and liquid conversions along with some ingredient substitutes if you don’t have some. It’s very typical American style food, in that things have lots of cheese in but what we have cooked so far the whole family have liked. Some great ideas and it helps you to create ur own meals.
This book is huge, yes there is quite a bit for the american market, but the huge range of recipes will have anyone salivating quickly. What i like is the instructions to use the foodi are well laid out and even include calorie count and tips written by many ninja foodi cooks. Excellent book for a fab machine.
Persuaded to buy the Ninga Foodi by my sister but was a bit apprehensive as I'm not into kitchen gadgets and thought she was exaggerating the benefits and the taste of the food cooked. But she wasn't exaggerating. It's hard to believe that one machine can cover so many ways of cooking and the taste of the different foods that I have cooked so far are incredible. I've so far used the pressure, the sear/saute, the slow, the bake/roast, the air fryer and each have produced beautiful meals. There are so many recipes available on line which makes meals so easy to cook whilst adding variety. Excellent product well worth the price
