I cannot stop sobbing.

I'm <i>really, really</i> not fine.

Ansel, you with your innocence, your bravery and your capacity for endless compassion stole away my heart and then you ripped it to shreds. You made me fall in love with you and then ...left. How am I supposed to survive now?

Gilles, I only knew you for a scant few sentences, but you still nocked an arrow straight into my heart and shattered it into pieces.

I know I'm waxing poetic and it might even be a bit weird to do so about fictional characters. ( Who am I kidding!! It's fricking weird!! ) I don't care. I feel what I feel and anyone who reads this book would agree with me. Probably.

There is betrayal and death, gods and monsters, but none is black and white. The cliffhanger at the end shocked me, to say the least. After this, I am not waiting for a second to start the next book.

NO SPOILERS! As thrilling as it was it shattered me. As much as I loved every character in the book no one goes unscathe in a battle. Lives are lost and this book depicted that,however all have their own opinion of this book, if they wish not to continue with the book because of the last scene I completely understand that.
The last scene made the emotions felt more real sadly but nonetheless I enjoyed it. Ends in a cliffhanger so be ready with the last book.

I don't DNF books. It is not my style but this one really tested my limits. I loved Serpent and Dove and this sequel was the most disappointing one in the history of sequels to say the least. Took me 2 weeks to finish it. Plus I expected a bit more romantic scenes between Lou and Reid. The only good thing was the last two chapters and the cliffhanger it ended with. But I'm still looking forward to the third book.

The story took a huge turn in this one! The blood witches and werewolves were introduced in this book. The magic and romance are top-notch, but I was struggling with the pacing. In some parts, the story went with a slow pace, while in some parts the story was hurried. At some point, I couldn’t connect with the story. Also, this book ends on a cliffhanger and is heartbreaking. So it is continued in the last book i.e. Gods & Monsters. The starting of the story was not strong, but eventually, the story grew. I wasn’t that invested in the story because of the pacing. Serpent & Dove was better than this one. Blood & Honey was an average read for me.

I’m rating this 3 because I didn’t find it much interesting as I did with book1.

The story turns very fast with us trying to understand what has happened in previous scene. The book was quite confusing for me.
I don’t understand what’s happening to Lou sometimes. And there’re so many things I felt unexplained. I hope to find answers in book3.

Coming to characters, they become quite different from book1. Reid looks like stupid character for me. This book didn’t give the entertainment I expected. It wasn’t hilarious like book1. The one thing I loved about book1 isn’t there in this. It was too slow.

The last 30 pages were the only chapters which seems interesting, ending was again good. The death of specific character was sad though!
Expect for ending I didn’t like anything in the book.

Now I don’t even know I want to read book3 or take a break from this.
