The latest in the "Space Rogue" series and like previous books in the series, was an enjoyable read. The books are easy to read and written with a touch of humour. Basically the style is one I enjoy and can truthfully say I have liked all the books and will be pre ordering book 7 when the opportunity to do so arises. The synopsis for each book is done by Amazon so no spoilers from me. All I will say is that if you like light hearted Sci Fi which has characters that are easy to relate too, exciting actions sequences plus humour, you must read this series.
I'm loving the characters and story more each book and cannot wait to read the next one as soon as it comes out. There are some mistakes here and there but a vast improvement from the others. I would like to see Cynthia get pregnant - a surprise for sure. She'd make a brilliant mother. It would be a proper family. Cheers!
Seriously though, more fool me. This is clunky, badly written pulp sci fi that makes omega force look like literature. 75% of this bookrevolves around food. Absolutely nothing happens for 2/3 of the book, when it does it resolves predictably. The worst in the series by some distance and none of them are sparkling.
Not the most science packed stories but light and easy to read, reminds me of 1970’s science fiction. Must have enjoyed it as I have preordered 7th book in series! Ideal reads for those not heavily into sf.
Perhaps...or just another rousing Space Rouges adventure. Renew acquaintance with “standard crew characters”, older characters encountered in previous stories and new ones you are sure to enjoy. A well paced, engaging story that never leaves you short on serious situations and exciting fights. Another winner in the series!
On another note, I find it a bit odd that that this is written almost like a script, with directions for each character, such as indicating someone is looking up or down, or any number of what would be called stage directions. Planning for a movie? Script s roughly prepared! Would make for an interesting movie series.
I have read each book in this series, love each and every one of them love the crew their adventures and the way they interact with each other this is a great series for any one that lives adventure and space travel already pre ordered the next book read the books you will enjoy them
