If you are looking for a great horror anthology this book is a must have. Great authors and great tales of dread. Can’t wait to read Vol 2. The people behind making this book chose great stories to chill the heart and keep you up at night.
This collection contains 49 short stories. My favorites include Die-t, Billy’s Room, Fairest of Them All, and Throw a Punch. I won’t give away the plots of any of the stories as your favorites may differ from mine. Surely, among these 49 stories, you will find some to your liking.
I enjoyed reading some of the stories in this book. There was definitely a wide variety of horror stories. Some of them I liked and others not so much.

I just finished the Books of Horror community anthology vol 1. I'm usually asleep now because I work nights, but I had to finish this and write my review 😁. Let me just start by saying it was damn good! I really enjoyed every story! This is a must have book, and I can't recommend it enough! I've read stories by some of you featured in this collection and you guys did not disappoint! Mike Duke - Author, Eleanor Merry, Kevin J. Kennedy, and Andrew Lennon just to name a few. To the first time writers, you guys have fantastic stories! Great flow and prose! This anthology had an amazing mix of horror. I loved the humor in J.Z. Foster and dark humor in Lance Dale stories. I was laughing my ass off reading those two! I highly recommend this, physical copy if you can! Great cover art by Brian Scutt and a wonderful introduction by Denise Hargrove! I rate easily at a 10/10. Next up is The Magic Cottage by James Herbert. First, I need some sleep!
Thank you for the wonderful collection of horror stories. Off the top of my head I can’t recall any of the stories that I I did not enjoy. No being a writer of anything but email, I would not criticize or complain about any Story. Thanks again
There are some really good stories in this book. There are a few that weren't but have the potential to be. I equate those to be like two new lovers fumbling around in the dark. The potential is there and they will eventually find their way. RJ, Justin, Eleanor, and few others are seasoned writers and I really enjoyed their work. I will be looking forward to those that are new to see what they will become.
