Upon reading the book one is bound to think about his/her vulnerabilities and the way they have been tackling their insecurities. Chief Goggins with his callous mind and an eternal amount of perseverance has shown how the so called IMPOSSIBLE is made possible. Strength and success to such warriors.
Its start is very good, and its inspiring to read about his childhood and his need to find his own passion/life.
Its nice, but then all the stories feel the same because he is going for the same thing only on a different level. Its a struggle to read. I think the book would have been better if it was shorter and covered about his childhood, how he lost weight, found his passion and finish it with him completing one of the best races of his life. Then in the end mention that he is still doing his thing and give us links! I think that would have been better book.
Have to say, hats off to guy for the effort he puts in everything he does!
I love goggins. Seen pretty much all of his podcast appearances and he's a very inspirational figure. But this book is just too long, repetitive and in my opinion his writing style is kind of boring. I recently read greenlights by Matthew McConaughey and prefer that one tbh.
I didnt realize that this version of the book was an edited, "clean" version because the description of the item made no mention of it. I am still fairly upset by this. I had to search for 45 mins to find the original version of the book, which should have been the first option listed. Fix it.
