Yes, the book is cliche with forbidden romance, friends with benefits into lovers, nightmare past etc. But I loved the respect and love that comes across between Sophie and Liam. Can't deny the fact I loved them way more than Noah and Maya. Also the families of these 2 are adorable.
Firstly, I loved it! Secondly, the book started on a sad note but it helped us understand Liam and the changes that he went through. Compared to the other boys Liam used comedy as a shield, and let's be honest he definitely didn't expect Sophie. I appreciate the way in which the author hasn't gone too deep into the technical part of the Bandini and McCoy cars but has still easily explained the basics so everyone understands. Liam's character development was amazing and I specifically loved the scene where Sophie meets Liam's nieces. The girls were adorable! This book happens to be one of those books where the reader actually wants to protect them from the world and everything bad (I realised that I basically described myself) and be the character's shield. The author's style of writing is exactly the type that I love and so it's a big yes in my books. I am also incredibly happy that the author decided to write about F1 since I barely find any books based upon it. Anyway, this book is officially one of my favorites and I'd recommend everyone to read this beautiful book!
Honestly this series has ended up surprising me a lot. All the couples gave me a different kind of buzz that I crave in romance books. Each one of them were imperfectly perfect in their own way and Sophie & Liam were no exception. I'm glad that Sophie didn't give into the temptation of sleeping with Liam no matter how much they felt the burning tension between them. (knowing Liam's reputation) But what I loved the most though were their casual conversations. The way they naturally became friends and eventually shared all their problems with each other was really sweet and the element with Sophie's list addded lots of entertainment! Overall, I won't say it was a five star read but it was definitely better than Throttled.
I wasn’t gonna read this book because I enjoyed Noah and maya so much and I honestly found these two annoying in their book. But I read maya and Noah’s extended epilogue and it gave a sneak peak into collided. When i tell you I hadn’t even gotten this book from kindle unlimited before lauren already had me crying. Lauren’s books have spice absolutely, but her characters and her words take me to a different place. I remember reading dreamland billionaires in a matter of 2 days and I think this series is looking to be the same. It takes a lot to get me to tear up from a book and this book has done that. It also made me laugh out loud and smile a ton. Sophie is a breath of fresh air, with the whole cliche of her being different because she rocks sneakers somehow working for her in a non “pick me” kind of way. She is confident, funny and one of the better main characters I have read over the last year. I really enjoyed this book. Enough to write a review!! Which says a lot about me lol. It sounds strange to say but this book isn’t anything special? There’s nothing very unique or different about it, yet somehow it stands out for me. It is worth the read for the enjoyment it brings :-)
