To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
it is an amazingly crafted book with a unique perspective of a character who exists on the sidelines of the main story of the Mahabharata - the fisherman's daughter who became the queen mother and to make who agree to marry his father, Bhishma took the vow of celibacy. The plot is liners the emotions well brought out and to top it all the translation is excellent. It does not seem like a translation at all - it is a standalone book. Having read the original English version I strongly think the translation does more justice to the theme than the English version primarily because Bhishma,Sathyavati, and the others speaking in Hindi seems more natural than they speaking in english. Highly recommended
