Loved it. An absolute page turner and fast paced story. Sebastian and Theo were a perfect match for each other. A little hitch was how quickly they fell in love. Waiting for the next book in this series
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I gave up halfway because it is not my cup of tea It would have been a very good book if better researched . Unmarried people just didn't share rooms in inns at that time. It is quite ridiculous really. Think about it: would you share a bed with a complete stranger? Now imagine in Regency England when your whole life could be at stake. And these are not every day people. They are super celebrities, born and bread. Also, this whole thing that they didn't know each other isn't possible. Dukes don't grow on trees and a single, handsome young Duke? Are you kidding me? That she didn't know Perdie was the only sister of a Duke even after due dil? Come on. I could go on but essentially the central idea of a Ladies Club is good but the reason why people read Regency Novels is because of the historical background. We want to see the characters find their way around those ridiculous social rules and even break these rules but intelligently. If you want to depart from those rules you are not writing Regency Romance. Which is all good just not what I personally am looking for when I look for a Regency novel to read.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I really love how she makes her characters come alive. Theo and Sebastian are the perfect Hero & Heroine, Theo works well with his high handedness lol and holds her own in situations that some H would create a bigger issue then needed. I have to admit I’m cautious about the second book as it’s about Sebastians sister who even in this book comes across ungrateful and spoilt, 🤦🏽♀️ but this book was the perfect story!!!!! ❤️
Really good book full of fun and romance. Theo is funny strong and fights for what she believes she set her pace, seb is arrogant and also sets his pace not a follower of what others think. do give a it read I'm sure you will enjoy it.
