Since our childhood, we have always discussed Women Empowerment, Safety for Women, and Atrocities on Women. Do you think that there is any improvement in it? Do you think that Gender Inequality has vanished?
Undoubtedly these problems are faced by men too but the ratio is quite higher in women. Until now Society treats women unfairly.
Recently Mumbai High Court said that groping a child if the shirt is on, is not a sexual assault. No matter which gender is it, what do you think is it a right decision from the side of the Court? Many incidents were presented regarding this statement from the side of the court. But such Statements are unacceptable both from a legal point of view as well as the extent of the crime. It will set a dangerous precedent. Under such laws do you think we are safe?

The main purpose of this book is mainly to empower women. It covers many important topics like Female Infanticide, Rape culture, Gender Inequality, unfair treatment of women, etc. Apart from highlighting the problems and stereotypes by the society, it also talks about the Rights for Women and much more. The book even talks about the importance of being patient in life, the power of forgiveness, and gratitude.

Both the authors have very well researched. It is written in an easy language so that it is easily understandable by every age group. There is a poem at the start of every chapter which was another good point of this book. The cover is good and the plot is very well structured.

Perfect pick.

3.0 out of 5 starsEveryone should read it atleast once!

The star rating and review is for the book, the product received deserves 5 stars

According to the latest NCRB report (2019), there was approximately 88 rape cases in a day in India - and this is just 10% of all crimes against women.

Let that small piece of information seek in.
The book starts with a poem by Pablo Neruda and goes on to ask relevant questions in the context of gender parity in our society.

" Just to be at par, is that her real ordeal?"
The authors quote studies and real life scenarios to bring to the forefront the issue of gender inequality that still plagues the world, in the 21st century; but in doing so it doesn't undermine all other forms of discrimination that " people " face at large for not adhering to the image of "normalcy" perpetuated in this society.
This book can also be used for educational purposes. Imagine a scenario, where the young minds are taught the importance of gender parity, much like they are taught other subjects. It does sound utopian but it could be turned into reality.

The book uses different chapters to address discrimination on several fronts such as education, reproductive healthcare, female infanticide, gender pay gaps, to name a few.. It tries to shed light on topics such as gender equity, gender equality, gender mainstreaming, and the effect all this discrimination has on the mental well being of the victim.
The problems are not the only things discussed, strategies to address those problems and to ensure women empowerment are also dealt with in depth.

Each chapter begins with a beautiful poem that helps in deepening the connection between the reader and the author, and also draws attention to the problems at hand.

Another point that I wanted to address: According to information on public platforms, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yoajana was launched in 2015, the book mentions it as 2011. I could be wrong but this needs a second check.

Empower to transform is a non-fictional story, rather I'd say a thesis about women and the everyday struggle they have to deal with in this world. The story goes from describing how women are always ill-treated in this world to how we can take measures to help them or make their lives a little better. I know the situation among women is a lot better now than it was earlier, in previous centuries. They are standing up for their rights now, taking their own decisions but there are still places which need a lot of development in this regard. There are still women who need to learn what's right for them so they could stand against the atrocities that the world keeps suppressing them with.

The authors here with this book are trying to spread the word around women to encourage them to raise their voices or to fight for their rights. This, I guess, makes it an important book to read for everyone. Although, since it's a non-fiction, there isn't any characterisation or delivery of emotions attached to women. The book is purely based on facts and theories related to women empowerment. One thing I liked in this book was that every chapter starts with a beautiful poem but other than that the book is completely bland with regard to emotions and feelings. If you like reading non fictions, then do give it a try!

Are women being empowered in society?

This is a debate that has been going around quite a lot in our society. There is surely progress in terms of the position of women in the past and what we see today but think about it if it was the case then why do we still have so many activists protesting and fighting for gender equality.

This book talks about those everyday occurrences where women have to face inequality. The book has 9 chapters where each chapter talks about different issues and also their possible solution. The book is well researched and talks about so many matters that we generally ignore but they need to be tackled to make this world a better place.

If you are somebody who wants to learn more about this topic and understand the situation in a deeper sense I would highly suggest this book. Though I'm not a big fan of non-fiction this book was surely my favourite in terms of its content. I would like to congratulate the authors for sharing this knowledge with us and also motivating us towards understanding the importance of equality for our future.

How much ever we talk about the inequality, gender Discrimation and etc. the next question is do we respect/follow the same as we suggest and talk. The lawyer, who knows about the law and the punishment, would been married to a women with highest dowry system.

There are so many laws to encourage women, and keep her independent. But how much we as a women are utilizing them? I would personally appreciate the author for picking up to write, such a topic. I gained some knowledge. I would definitely say, this book is knowledge gainer.

This books is an in-depth analysis of gender inequality and some of the concepts that revolve around it. They have taken some time to research on the topic to write this book. The writing is so clear, the efforts are seen in the writing

The writing is dvided into female infanticide atrocities on women, raise your voice, know your rights, gender equlity and equality at home and work, empowering women, diversity and inclusion, women in leadership, the role of men in women empowerment.

I would definitely recommend the book, as we gain good knowledge.

✴️ Empower to Transform is a deep analysis book of women empowerment and gender equality.....

✴️ The purpose of this book is mainly to create awareness of women's empowerment. It can be used for both educational and information purpose......

✴️ The book teaches about the benefits of empowering women and introduced some of the ways to make the change in the society.....

✴️ The book contains lot of points which I agree but somewhere I also disagree....

✴️ Writing style is simple for the readers, not much creative & I like the cover of the book perfectly suited to the content......

✴️ I don't find any unique point in the book, same points are repeated again and again in most of the chapters, like educate women, raise their voice, making law for the women safety etc. The points mentioned in the book are already known to everyone so I don't find any catching points.....

✴️ A good book to know the basic and common points of women employment.....

~This book basically talks about Women Empowerment. The problems faced by women at every level of their lives. It talks about how necessary it is to speak out loud about the wrongs and work towards making them right.
~ This book not only throws light on almost every problem/discrimination faced by women but also suggests some measures which can be adopted to lessen it.
~ The book emphasis on taking a stand and speaking out for all the problems, which is pretty important.
~ There were a lot of statistics to prove their points that shows it's a well researched book.
~ The language was good but some places things seemed to repeated. There were poems related to the topic from different personalities before each chapter, which was a nice touch.
~ Overall the book was very educational and much needed. Everyone must read it, it'll be an eye opener for many.

Nowadays, we actually feel that women are shining in every field. But after reading this book one can understand that we still need to travel miles and miles to achieve gender equality and women empowerment. Moreover, this book speaks about the differences in wages, working hours etc between men and women. It is sad to knew that these differences exist worldwide even in this 21st century. The authors also addressed various ways to overcome all these stereotypes and how men can play a vital role in empowering women. The authors could have added more statistical information and real life stories to make this book more interesting. Overall a good book to know where we stand in this long journey of empowering women and letting them to make decisions on their own.
