I am great fan of Shiv, having followed his career, stories and interviews closely. He was also the chief guest at my B-school convocation. He brings great insights and methodical explanations. The way he frames a problem statement and then attacks it is a great learning in itself.
This book is for the few hundreds of potential Shivkumar of the future who are excelling academically and are already the star kid of the family. It basically boils to having clarity in life and risk appetite.
For average Joes, who are mid-30s with adequate loans (yes, like me), this book has little to offer. Because, I’ve taken my risks, reaped my rewards as well as burnt my fingers and bridges.
The litany of dilemmas don’t confuse me anymore. Nor I expect it to confuse any of the average students anywhere. It is for the toppers and toppers only.
