It does the job. I've given it four stars, but it's more like 3.5 stars. But, let me split this review by category so I can explain better:
I have a four-month-old kitten, and there's enough space for her. It's a normal sized bag, maybe a tiny bit bigger. I don't think a full grown cat could fit inside, or if it could, can sit inside for too long. But for a backpack pet carrier, this is good space.
It's not great quality and it's not terrible quality either. I guess I was expecting it to be a little more sturdy. The bag material, while not too thin, could've been a little thicker. And the mesh sides feels too thin, especially considering a cat's claws could easily cut them open - if they set out to do it. The plastic bubble in the front feels sturdy, though.
There are ample openings to let the air inside and keep the cat well ventilated. There's a side opening which you can open to let your cat out after you put them inside. The bottom of the bag has no padding, but they do provide us with a detachable solid base. If you keep the bag horizontally, the weight of the plastic bubble will make it collapse sometimes.
Value for money-
I bought it for 1300, and currently, this is like the middle ground between bad backpacks (costing around 900) and quality backpacks (costing around 1800 or so). I have never understood why these cost so much. There are normal backpacks with better quality, same size available for cheaper. And they have more compartments too. Maybe making the plastic bubble costs a lot? I don't know.
Anyway, if you don't have a cat which is too big, you could go for this. It's the best option available at the moment (unfortunately) if you want a decent quality backpack carrier. Just make sure your cat doesn't claw the mesh sides.
