This book gives you the tools to give yourself a 360 review before, during and after a trade. Better yet, long before entering and closing.

It's not about the technical details of a trade but more about who you were, are and want to become as a trader.

Definitely worth reading now and picking it up again every now and then when you are stuck, feeling lost or ready to take a new direction.

Highly recommended!

Beautifully written with first hand experience and some common pitfalls discussed with alternative suggestions that I haven't seen elsewhere.

It very much underlines the importance of a Trading Plan and puts into perspective the psychological benefits of following and the issues that are likely to arise if you don't follow your plan.

I trade Forex and found this book equally applicable. It has left me with some great ideas to probe areas that I thought were just one fault. It was very interesting that the author highlighted other areas I need to address, albeit not major, but I'm sure I will be a better trader as a result.

I think this is probably a book ALL traders need to read as I felt it really 'grabbed' the important psychological parts of trading in a easy to read with good examples that were easily relatable to all traders at whatever level.

What sets this book apart is it avoids the mumbo jumbo of psychology and hits the notes with plain and clear facts.

I am sure it will become a classic and in my mind I felt I got more out of this book than any other well known titles in this field. Congratulations and thanks to the authors.

Well written book
I can't wait to implement them, although that would be the tricky part. However, the good side of this book is the it provides many practical ideas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vital Information In Order to Become a Successful Day Trader

Where do I start....
I started day trading a couple months ago and it has been a roller coaster ride of emotions. With that being said, I have a strategy/ system that makes me money. Before diving into day trading, I extensively researched this field for months reading all kinds of books on technical analysis as well as the markets. I decided to jump in and get my feet wet with an account that allows me to trade above the PDT restrictions. There were days where I made allot of money, and there were days where I lost even more money. It was hard to hold onto my winners. I assumed it was an issue with my technical analysis and strategies. I quickly came to realize, it wasnt my strategy or tech analysis, but it was about controlling the wide range of emotions a trader goes through. Psychology is an extremely big part of becoming a successful day trader. This is what separates the successful from those who blow up their account and run away from day trading blaming their unfortunate situation on the markets instead of failing to realize the issue lay deep within themselves.
With all this being said, Andrew Aziz and Mike Baehr did a fantastic work with this book. The information contained withing these pages is awesome and clear to understand. If put into practice, will definitely make you a better trader. There community is awesome as well (Bear Bull Traders). I have since become a member and I highly recommend this community. Bear Bull Traders is the only course that will actually go step by step teaching you the fundamentals like it was a college course so you can find your own style and fine tune it. Theres also allot of other resources this community has to offer. I had tried other courses like Warrior Trading but there is nothing like Bear Bull Traders. There are no "Gurus" here. Just professional traders that are mentoring and helping others along the path. They are not trying to get fame or brag about how much the make. The course is designed for the serious professional aspiring trader in mind.
With all this being said, your missing out by not purchasing this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars More good advice from BBT

Another great book from the BBT team.
Contrary to what the Lambo driving trading "gurus" will sell you; there is no secret code or pattern to success in trading. All the success you need is in your head and only enduring the failures and dealing with the knocks to your financial and emotional accounts will see you through the brutal learning curve of day trading. In this book, Mike and Andrew discuss the psychological challenges you will to face as you learn to day trade. They offer strategies to deal with those challenges and paths to continued growth as a trader. I found it reassuring to know that however I feel after a bad day of trading, someone has always been there before and survived it. This book is a great companion for all but the most experienced trader. If you are new to trading, it will help you prepare for the storm you have chosen to walk into, if you have been battered about already by the storm, its important to remind yourself how you should handle your own emotions and that you are never alone in having a bad day.

Other books from Peak Capital Trading (by Andrew Aziz) are a series of some of the best books I have ever read on the subject of the stock market and trading. However, "Introduction to Trading Psychology: A Practical Guide to Improve Your Trading Psychology", written by Mike Baehr has some serious flaws. First of all, Mike has no formal advanced psychology education (and it shows)-other than what he learned/experienced in the military, through forensic accounting and his business degrees. The book starts off with great potential with some of the pitfalls and challenges that occur psychologically in trading. But as you approach Part 2, you are starting to read some of the same issues repeated over-and-over, differently worded however, but the same repetitive problems with little guidance other than what most of us would call common sense. By Part 3 and Part 4, the repetition continues with struggles, military experiences (some of which really don't apply), and lack of structure that makes it hard to continue. By the end, I wondered why I wasted my time on this book. Psychology in trading is an important topic and needs more "academic" research, books and resources. Andrew Aziz's books all have structure and methodological flow which I expected from this book as well and maybe reading his books first spoiled me, but surely missed the mark on this one. If you like hearing the same pitfalls, struggles and challenges repeated a hundred different times with no practical guidance other than how the military trains people, you will really enjoy this book. Otherwise, best not to waste your time (or money) and look elsewhere. My final comment is, though the Bear Bulls Trading Community is a great resource, they need to tone down the advertising in these books.

Been getting my feet wet daytrading the last year and can hands down say the bear bull community is the most motivational and inspirational trading groups for traders new and long into their journey. In this take from Mike I was really able to learn to look inwards for my own psychological struggles causing my discipline to lack. Tons of useful info and an author that cares! Mike and Andrew both share their email in all their books, I can confirm within 24 hours Mike was able respond to my message and help me apply his methods to my trading. Was awesome to hear back from the author and know it's coming from a community that really wants to see it's traders grow! 10/10 reccommend!!!

There are a few pearls of wisdom in this book for someone who’s been trading for quite some time. Let’s be fair, the title is “Introduction to Trading Psychology”, so if you had high expectations of ground breaking thoughts and ideas, look elsewhere for the experienced trader. As for the beginner trader, this is a solid book. A great foundation for starting off your trading craft.
