To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Quite a mixture of different stories. Enjoyed them all, really love the Heroes and Heroines in each story line. These books are really good as it's Christmas time and everyone one needs to have some pleasant reading time. Have always enjoyed Jane's books, excellent author. Someone should have done a final editing on the books as there were some grammatical errors. Still all and all was a great read.
Whoever was responsible for proofreading these stories should be ashamed of themselves. The incomplete sentences in the final story kept yanking me out of a perfectly delightful story. There is also a common problem with personal pronouns. No one seems to like using the objective form of "I", which is "me". "Between you and I" is not acceptable and grates on the ears. When in doubt, take out the third party and read the statement again. "Me" is objective. Get used to it and I might invest in your full novels. I rather like well written stories. --mb
Like many anthologies, this has its good points and bad. Of particular charm were the stories by Emmanuelle de Maupassant , Claire Delacroix and Nadine Particularly bad was Nicole zoltack who thinks that when calls the bans for marriage it happens in a matter of days instead of successive Sundays. Can be missed unless it is super cheap
