How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Book 4 starts from exactly where book 3 ends, as have all the other books. In reality it's one continuous story, that could be one very big book
Previous reviews have complained about the number of meetings Jack has to attend and the resultant slowing down of the story. Whilst what they say is true, Book 4 needs to be like this. So much is now about how the rest of the Galaxy interacts with Jacks World. It's mainly political action, rather than physical
My only complaint is, the book ends rather suddenly, didn't see that as an obvious point to stop on, but I guess that means you have to get book 5
Overall the series is a fun read. It won't win any prizes, but it is highly entertaining and humerus

Another eagerly awaited return for Jack Foster, continuing his escapades in and around his planet made all the more exciting by his finding different species hitherto lost in the annals of time. Jack along with Jenny and his Grandfather ensure that the action is non stop. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next two books and I got one cannot wait.
Well recommended as long as you start at the beginning!!!

I always love it, when you find a bloody good series, (you know, the ones that you instantly try to find out when the next one is going to be available). The Jack Foster Space Opera is one of those.... Characters that still remain relatable and well rounded, add in various species and a few AI's and you have something that will keep you reading well past the time you should be asleep.
Lokking forward to the next 'episode'.

The Jack foster series sits in a niche sub-genre for me. It's definitely a Space Opera but the pace of events is relentless and in one of two places push the bounds of credibility slightly. Does that bother me? Not in the least.I just roll with the story and turn the page to find out what happens next. #5 please John!

I really enjoy this series, it’s different to a lot of space opera in terms of more focus on leadership and working with and through others than the ‘one man (woman) saves the universe’, it has loveable aliens and robots, sentient trees and crazy storylines - what else could you want?

Love the story and characters and can't wait until the next episode. And I think the kidnappers may get a shock.

It got it's book on me! I really hate the cliffhangers but I can't get enough of the story! I wish for more combat and for the MC to make more spaceships and this time combat androids or powered armour for his Foster's Own Bodyguards, I am renaming his Retinue thing. Keep up the great work! I can't wait for the next book!

A F^&* Cliffhanger I am so sick and tied of this BS, can't Author finish story I got over Cliffhanger after "Who Shot JR" The story itself moved along but it seem and felt a bit all over the place. If you enjoy cliffhangers Jump right in otherwise wait for the next book or Not like me its a NOT.
