Many books are there on the topic. This one stands out for its demonstration of using known events in Rasi and Varga charts to arrive at precise birthtime within one Minute. It is simple uses known Vedic Astrology dictums , laying down parameters to arrive at events in Varga charts. Many examples and contingencies have been covered to help astrology students to do birthtime rectification. Lucidly written easy to follow an unpretentious book whose value is immense . While the efforts are good and it starts well, the book lacks in basics. No one can fine tune each and every chart the way it is described in the book. Moreover, the analysis provided is wrong somewhere. I sincerely hope the analysis was not taught by Sh Rao.

I've been studying Vedic astrology casually for about 30 years and to be honest I had come to the point where I'd lost confidence in dashas, divisional charts, and even reading the main chart (D1). A lot just didn't seem to work. Uncertain birth times also lowered my expectations when looking at charts.

But then I read this book. Wow. My confidence has been restored. Now I understand how to use divisional charts, rectify birth times, and see dashas actually working. I cannot tell you how much this has impacted me.

I've had my birth time rectified a number of times (costing lots of $$$) but just wasn't sure about it. Using the techniques in this book I can now see that my birth time is accurate. Being a nerd, I rectified my birth time to the second. I've also rectified charts of family members whose times I have always doubted.

I hesitated about buying this book because sometimes astrology can be an information-overload. I'm glad I bought it because it has given me a lot of clarity.

This is a great & through (but easy to follow) read written by someone who has travelled the world to immerse himself in his subject. You really sense that the author has built up such an amazing depth of expertise now crystallised in a book which will help many people to determine their/their client’s time of birth. I bought this product as I have started to look at birth time rectification more seriously. I mainly work with western astrology and this book has now got me wanting to learn and incorporate more jyotish into my work. A highly recommended read and a superb accomplishment by the author.

This is a very important book for all Jyotishis (Vedic Astrologers) and students to have and use. The birth time is very, very important and I personally know many astrologers who just try to bypass dealing with this important issue. Typical responses are "God has given me this particular chart." or "I don't have time to do this and it's too complex anyway!" These and other excuses simply don't work.
Paul has done a great job in clearly defining the problem and then clearly explained step-by-step methods for solving it. Besides, his humorous and enjoyable writing style makes this material a pleasure to read. Paul's recollections of conversations with Mr. K. N. Rao are priceless, inspiring, and a special treat. I highly recommend this book.
