I do a lot of solo motorcycle trips long distance...purchased this pump in Aug for a solo ride Pune-Uttarkhand and back, because tyre pressure is one thing I am very particular about and not all petrol pumps dispense air. So during this approx 7000 Km round trip, I used this pump to top up and inflate my tyres every 2nd/3rd day...there was a drop of 4/5 PSI every few days and this is basically the amount of air I was topping up...The pump felt pretty solid and good initially, until one fine day (just as my trip was ending), the main cyclinder just seized out of the blue and wouldn't pump anymore air. There were absolutely NO exterior damages to the pump and I took good care of it all throughout the time until it packed up.
I noticed that the pump had a year worth of warranty so I called up the seller in Bangalore, who told me that they would look into it and send me a new unit, but I would have to courier the defective one to them first.
Now, my points are -
1. A courier from Pune to Bangalore with this pump, will itself cost about 500 bucks...which is approx 25% of the value of the pump.
2. I am not very keen on this pump anymore, because the thing is not built for regular continuous use. At best, it is something that you could keep in your car, to use in an emergency.
This product is not dependable. Bikers, especially solo riders, please do not buy this pump and risk getting stuck in the middle of nowhere if this thing decides to stop working.
Basically, a good looking piece of chinesium. Absolutely terrible experience.
